Bucket List: Travel Edition

March 08, 2012

The other day, I ran across a list of the top 100 places to visit in the US on MSNBC's Travel page, and it got me thinking about all of the places I would like to visit, both in the US and around the world. Some of these things will more-than-likely never happen, but it doesn't stop me from dreaming that one day Corey & I will be walking among the lions and tigers during an African safari or standing on the mountain that Jesus ascended into Heaven upon. Wouldn't that be awesome?

One thing I will say is living in Kansas and Oklahoma my entire life really makes me appreciate the landscapes and cultures of different places I have visited. It is my ultimate dream that one day, before we're too old, Corey & I can pack up a few of our most treasured things and just leave for as long as we want. Not having a predetermined destination; not having to worry about pleasing bosses or meeting deadlines; not having an agenda. You know, like Kenny Chesney sings about. :) Not because we don't love our families and friends, but simply just because.

I've always liked dreaming big.

Anyway, that is 99.9% not going to happen, so I will just stick to visiting these places on my computer screen. Would you care to take a virtual tour around the world with me? Here are some places and things Corey & I would LOVE to see and do before we die (in no particular order):

Stay in an overwater bungalow in Tahiti, Bora Bora or Fiji.

Tour California Wine Country

Visit Hershey, Pennsylvania, and stay in the Hotel Hershey for obvious reasons

(Okay, maybe this is just one of mine :) )
