Bryson's First Birthday Party

It's so hard to believe our Bryson is almost 1 year old! It seems like just yesterday we were making last-minute plans for his arrival. Time flies when you're having fun, and are we ever!

We celebrated Bryson's first birthday at my parents' house over the Memorial Day weekend. If you know Bryson, you know he's like his dad and doesn't get excited about much, but he seemed to have fun seeing everyone, playing with his new toys and, of course, eating his cake!

Lemon-lime Hawaiian punch made for the perfect party drink to go with my cobalt blue and lime green color scheme.

I made an assortment of cupcake wrappers using scrapbook paper and "1" cupcake picks. I also made the cupcakes and homemade buttercream icing; delicious!

Hubs' wooden cupcake stand he built me a couple of years ago was the centerpiece of the food table! It was perfect for our little man's smash cake (which I also made and decorated; so fun!) and the cupcakes.

I had Bryson's baby book on display for anyone who wanted to look through it.

Cousin Mason had fun helping Bryson open and play with his gifts! They're the best of friends!

I thought I would splurge a little and personalize his napkins since his cake and cupcakes were homemade (and, therefore, super inexpensive).
