With football season literally rightaroundthecorner, and OU being ranked pre-season NUMERO UNO, I thought I would devote this Friday Favorites to my five most favorite OU football games to have ever attended. Number ones up! Here we gOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (get it? hehe)


#5: OU vs. OS-Who? 2003
Yes, this was way back when the parents would buy the tickets, drive us to the game, etc. :) :)  One of my very first OU football games; I was 16. I quickly learned that any win over the Cowboys is SWEET. I wouldn't have such a problem with them if their fans weren't so obnoxious. Seriously, it's ridiculous. This has served as another reason I have "unfriended" people on Facebook. Don't mess w/ my Sooners people :) I think the week after this game, they went on to beat Texas A&M 77-0, which was an awesome game to be at, too! Everyone was mad at OU b/c they thought we went too hard on A&M racking up 70+ points on them and not "letting" them score any. OU can't help it if their 3rd- and 4th-strings are better than the rest of the conference too. Get over it :) :)

This was the second OU/TX game Corey had been to, and coincidentally, the second one they had won out of the four or five I had been to. It was awesome to see Landry Jones get his first win over Texas! Man they really sucked! (And it looks like they'll be just as bad this year!) OU/TX has always been a family affair, which is why it's always fun whether OU wins or loses. My dad has even come up with a song to sing while Texass' queer band is playing one of their dumb songs. I don't quite know how to describe it, but by halftime, the entire section is singing along with us. :) Fun times.
