Pinterest Party: The Mimosa Bar

September 23, 2013

Oh my gosh. I had seen SO many awesome ideas for this on Pinterest, and I could not wait to make my own. Mimosas are one of my favorite ways to kick off the weekend morning, and I couldn't wait to share one (or two) with friends. :)

Besides the traditional orange juice, I wanted to offer some variety both in taste and color. I ended up with cranberry and peach mango juices as the alternatives. I also found some peach champagne that accentuated the peach mango juice perfectly. I think it turned out to be the favorite!

I wanted to add a little detail to the plain glass bottles, so--using reusable glue strips--I attached lace ribbon to them. Afterward, it was easy to remove both the lace and the glue strips from the glass.

I offered some freshly sliced oranges, peaches and pineapple to garnish the mimosas. Other fresh fruit was also available on the yogurt bar.

I used a large tin tub from Swoon Vintage Rentals to ice down the champagne and also to keep the juice (and chocolate for s'mores) chilled.

Cute straws inside another neat trinket from Swoon Vintage Rentals.

This bunting was super easy to make. I found the cardboard pieces from Hobby Lobby at 50% off. Then I printed the letters, cut them out and glued them on. I weaved sheer ivory ribbon through them and voila! The weight of the cardboard pieces also helped keep the table skirt from blowing in the breeze.

I'm currently thinking of another excuse to have a mimosa bar. Hehe. :)
