Project Deck: Bargain Finds!
July 15, 2014I think it's safe to say I hit the jackpot at Hobby Lobby last night and today.
I went just to kill some time, and next thing I know, I'm on the aisle containing the left-overs from the spring and summer goodies with 80 percent-off signs plastered all over the place! Score!
Altogether I have purchased $285.49 worth of items for only $54! I'd be a fool NOT to get this stuff!
As we get closer to finishing our deck, I will be needing all sorts of accents and furnishings to complete it. I decided on a color palette of light blue and bright yellow, and the cushions we found at Garden Ridge last weekend for our built-in bench were the perfect start. They have a little light blue, dark brown and ivory in them. From the looks I've found on Pinterest, the light blue and yellow will compliment each other very well. Needless to say, I was in bargain heaven...I just HAD to share my bargain finds with you!
Some light blue or yellow flowers will look so fresh coming out of this here watering pail!
These napkin rings are perfect! My plan for these are to be used to hold back curtains.
I'm not sure what these little do-dads are, but I bought two of them because...well...they were like 50¢. They're about 5' or 6' long, so I will probably hang them from an upper rafter to reflect the sunlight.
This was my most expensive find of the day–$24.99 regular-priced...I got if for $5! I haven't decided if I am going to spray paint it or leave it bronze. Hmmm...
Painted birds' nests!
I love the galvanized look these little buckets have. The large one was a whopping $1.40; the smaller one was $1.
While this serving tray's colors are definitely compatible with my color palette, there's just a few problems...
...the paper covering is tearing. BUT, it seems to be a distressed faux wood underneath, and you know what that means! Spray paint! Plus, for $3, does it really matter?
I actually have two of these (one I purchased a while ago on my lunch break from a different Hobby Lobby). These were $2.40 each. #awesomeness
A beautiful brown table runner that will accent my soon-to-be-light-blue $10 garage sale coffee table very well!
...Because, why not? I'm pretty sure the placemat was less than $1, and that bucket was no more than $2.
