For the past few weeks, we've had hints of summer weather, and it's reminded us why we love our backyard so much! While Hubs worked on some projects a few weekends ago, I prepped our outdoor oasis for another sunshine-filled summer!

Weeds had already begun popping up in my fire pit beach so, after pulling them, I raked the sand to make it nice and fluffy.


I am almost ashamed to admit Hubs and I had seriously considered transforming my beach area into a patio for an outdoor table and chairs. But, after a few minutes of having my toes back in the sand, I remembered why I love it and we agreed to keep it! Hooray!


Then, we cleaned the pond and the fountain, which had been out of commission for the winter. This remains one of my favorite additions to our yard.


We also made sure the misting system was working properly and is ready for a summer of work!


The hammock is always ready for summer. :)


After sprucing up the patio, we noticed our faux wicker chairs were (quite literally) falling apart.
