Bryson's Firsts
May 02, 2017Back in February, Hubs and I got the idea to begin taking Bryson to different places for the first time. My first memory was when I was between 2 and 3 years old — it's actually quite vivid...I remember exactly what I was wearing, where I was and who was there. That means at some point in the coming months, Bryson could potentially experience something that will later be seen as his "first memory." Why not try to make it something fun?
Bryson has had a ton of fun "firsts" in his 23 months of life. In fact, on his first birthday, we took him along on a work trip to Omaha, Nebraska, where he had a lot of fun doing things and going places he won't likely remember. Now that he's walking, running, climbing and able to do more things on his own, we thought it would be fun to begin taking our little ginger to places he's never been. Starting small, of course.
In March, we took him — along with his favorite uncle, auntie and cousin, Mason — to the Oklahoma Science Museum. He seemed to have a great time but, as you know, is not impressed by much.
At the end of March, we took him for the first time to Hochatown (Broken Bow), Oklahoma — our favorite close-to-home getaway spot. See more here!
In April, we traveled to Tulsa for a friend's wedding and stopped by the Oklahoma Aquarium first. Bryson LOVED seeing all the fish, turtles and sea creatures!
He was talking to the sharks in the Shark Tunnel, lol!
Not long after this, he got splashed by a stingray...he didn't much care for that, hehe.
A few other places we plan on visiting include Medicine Park and the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, Sulphur and the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, some more state parks and other fun places with kids' activities.
Thanks for following along with Bryson's Firsts!
