Let's Get Organized!
September 05, 2017Y'all. Remember last year's planner? Some of you might because you ordered one for yourself. Well, all year I've been taking notes on ways to improve it and make it more effective for 2018 and...IT'S FINISHED!
I'm so excited to introduce to you my 10-in-1 Ultimate Planner!
Here's what mine includes (scroll down to see a close-up of each of these!):
- Monthly calendar and goals/pre-planning pages
- Budget planner
- Meal planner
- Bullet journal
- Mini scrapbook
- Travel planner
- Savings/debt planner
- Christmas budget organizer
- Daily task/goal/habit tracker
- Bible study & sermon notes
I put a lot of work into improving the functionality and design of my 2018 planner. It includes watercolor accents and practical touches (like pocket folders!).
My favorite part is it's fully customizable, so you can truly make it your own. Don't plan your meals or need space for scrapbooking? Great — we will leave out those pages and adjust the price accordingly. Maybe you just want a 4-in-1 — whatever works for you and your family! You literally build your own Ultimate Planner.
Let's walk through it and I'll tell you what most excites me and what I plan on using each planner for. I hope to get you excited about organization because it truly can make a difference in your day, year and life!

This fabric cover was custom made for me from Etsy. Planners ordered from me come with a sturdy, custom-designed cover.
I was so excited about my 2018 planner I had to order one for the final months of 2017.
Year-at-a-glance and my life motto.
Because I LOVE planning getaways.
Each month has what I like to call a vision page. It's simply a page where you can write short-term goals or tasks you want to accomplish during that month, as well as birthdays and important dates.
Each month also has a seasonally-inspired theme. Like September, for example. Obviously football season. There are other options for you non-football-lovers. *side note: I have added page tabs since this picture was taken. :)
The monthly calendar spread includes a Scripture and space for notes.
The two-page budget planner spread includes a one-page calendar on the left where I note our paydays, automatic bank drafts, bill due dates and anything else finance-related. The page on the right (pictured above) underwent a drastic transformation from last year. As 2017 progressed, I found myself focusing on what expenses were coming out of each paycheck, so I made the lay-out reflect that.
One of my favorite spreads: the meal planner! It's simply space to write what you plan on having for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day of the month. Corey and I look forward to this every Sunday. After we decide what we're having to eat, I list the ingredients we need on my coordinating grocery list organizer — which I designed to make our grocery shopping trip quick and efficient. We love going to Crest, our local supermarket, every Sunday afternoon. Bryson loves it too because he gets a cookie from the nice bakery ladies.
This daily task/goal/habit tracker is quickly becoming one of my favorite pages. In last year's planner, I dedicated multiple pages to things I thought I would track and ended up not messing with — like workouts, chores, etc. This is space for me to write down the exact things I want to track in that given month. This month, some things on my list include: Drink 64 oz. of water; Make the bed; No spending; Stand 2+ hours at work; Text a friend; Water basil; No sugar and lots more. These are all things I would LOVE to say I do often or are goals I can easily accomplish. When I do, I get to check that box for the day! It feels good!
Each month also includes a handy pocket folder. I am already utilizing these and LOVE the shiny touch of usefulness they add.
This is one of my favorite additions: a monthly mini scrapbook! I read this idea on a blog and — being a lover of reflecting and nostalgia — knew I had to incorporate it into my planner! It's a two-page spread per month that allows me space to attach photos and mementos from that month. Then, after the year is over, it becomes a memory book! Genius idea! I cannot wait to fill up these pages with scrapbooking touches.
Who else has these ideas of grandeur at the beginning of each year to read the Bible or accomplish something else that is more unlikely than likely to happen? I am hopeful that the Bible Reading Plan in my planner will help me stay focused and motivate me to read more of the Book that feeds my soul.
I also included lots of journaling pages for sermon notes. Always a handy thing to have on Sunday mornings and/or if you do a Bible study.
I copied this idea from Pinterest, and I love it! In last year's planner, I had space reserved each month for tracking bills. This two-page spread makes it easy to see the entire year's costs!
Something I'm REALLY looking forward to using this Christmas: A Christmas budget organizer! Guys! This will be a game changer this holiday season, and I can't wait! Every year it gets so confusing keeping up with everyone's gifts, how much we've spent on them and whether or not they're wrapped. I already have written down who's on our list, how much we're budgeting for each of their gifts and a few ideas I have. Once we begin our Christmas shopping, I'll track what we purchase and how much we spend. I'll even check the box when it's wrapped and under our tree! I'm so pumped for this!
As you can tell, I love setting goals and crushing them — both short-term and long-term. The new year is always a time of thinking ahead and dreaming of what can be. Writing it all down helps us meet those goals we set!
The last part of my planner is a bullet journal. If you've never heard of bullet journaling, it's a pretty neat concept (read more here). I always need lots of space for note-taking, and this will provide just that.
I hope you've enjoyed taking a closer look at my new 2018 10-in-1 Ultimate Planner! You can customize your own here and include as much or as little as you and your family need.
Together, let's make 2018 your most organized and productive yet!
