A Sweeping September
October 03, 2017Looking back on the month of September, it was such a fun month! I wanted to capture everything we did in one post to look back on.
I was super excited to put my new 10-in-1 Ultimate Planner to work (get your own here), and this month it has motivated me to accomplish things I haven't done in a long time — more importantly, it's helped me be more consistent and intentional.
The daily task/goal/habit tracker in my planner is the sole reason I did many things in September and continue to do them in October. Like, for example, make the bed. Or stand at work for a minimum number of hours. Or read Scripture each and every day. Or try to hit my steps goal each day. If I get to check that box, I'm all in. The list of things I've been tracking is literally a page long, but it's nice to go back and see what I've accomplished. I'm doing more things that are good for me and promote physical and mental well-being.
Our September started with a fun kids' workshop at Home Depot. Bryson made the cutest pencil box and had a lot of fun doing it.
Then came the Aviation Festival in Norman, where Bryson had fun looking at and sitting in several of the airplanes!
We had a fun cookout with our neighbors and friends to watch the OU vs. Ohio State game (Boomer Sooner!), then the next weekend we visited the Sam Noble Museum and took advantage of free admission.
Bryson had his first dentist's appointment at Norman Pediatric Dentistry on my 30th birthday! He did a great job and passed with flying colors!
I celebrated my 30th birthday with some of my favorite people and was surprised with the best decorations and a delicious cake!
Here's to hoping October is as fun as September was!
