Dancing with the (Reality) Stars

Dancing with the Stars is one of my must-watch shows each season, depending on the celebrities chosen. Last season, for example, was atrocious. The ONLY person I was rooting for was Kendra Wilkinson, partly because she was the only one I had heard of, so when she was given the boot, I quit watching. The season before that I LOVED because of 1. Jennifer Grey, 2. Audrina Patridge & 3. Kurt Warner. After a season's break from DWTS, I am so happy to see Kristin Cavallari & Rob Kardashian in this season's lineup. I loved The Hills and still watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians. That means I will be watching DWTS again! Woo hoo! I also can't wait to see Nancy Grace. I watched her during the Casey Anthony trial and I must say she is hilarious! Now we can all speculate about who will be paired with who. I heard Derek Hough is coming back this season, so I'm hoping he gets paired with Kristin. Although I think he'll get paired with someone like Ricki Lake since he has won 3 times now. :( During the women's soccer World Cup, I read on People's web site that Maks had personally requested Hope Solo as his partner, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them paired together; the producers probably don't want to start off with Maks on his hot bad side :) And is it me or is it kinda hard to picture Carson Kressley (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) leading a lady in a dance? That will be interesting as well. Where's Edyta when you need her? She is the only one who would take charge. Well, I guess Cheryl Burke would, but I'm sure she'll get paired with Ron Artest. She always gets the athletes. Skank. I have no idea who David Arquette is other than he is married (but separated?) to Courteney Cox. Sorry but anyone who has a say in naming a child "Coco" has something wrong with him/her. Chaz Bono, I could really care less about, along with George Clooney's ex (what's her name again?). And who the heck is Chynna Phillips? Probably a D-list former pop star who is fixing to make a new album or something and needs her name back out there. I have no interest in her or the JR Martinez guy. While they're dancing performing, I'll be flipping through hoping for something better to be on TV...or I may be (literally) watching paint dry. Because even that would be better than watching some of these people dance stumble around making their pro counterparts look bad. All-in-all though, not the worst cast ever; but definitely not the best. Btw, does anyone else miss Julianne Hough like I do? She was the deal! And I want Karina to win! She's been on there every season it seems like and hasn't won a darn thing! Come on ABC! Give her someone good for once! The premiere isn't until Sept. 19. Who wants to bet either Ricki Lake or Nancy Grace will break something between now and then? I'm not wishing anything on either of them, I'm just saying. Anyone?
