Can you believe it? Our sweet, tender-hearted, gentle giant is TWO years old as of June 3!
This (not so) little guy continues to be the light of our world, and we are so proud of all he has accomplished in his second year of life.
This year, Bryson is finally old enough to enjoy our backyard with us! He has loved running around and playing in my sandy backyard beach — so much so that we are building him his very own play set for his second birthday!
Back in February, Hubs and I got the idea to begin taking Bryson to different places for the first time. My first memory was when I was between 2 and 3 years old — it's actually quite vivid...I remember exactly what I was wearing, where I was and who was there. That means at some point in the coming months, Bryson could potentially experience something that will later be seen as his "first memory." Why not try to make it something fun?
Y'all know how much we love the hills, forests, rivers and wineries of southeastern Oklahoma. I've lost count of how many times we've been — we even spent our babymoon there in 2015 — and lots of fun activities have popped up in recent years, so we keep going back for more.
Y'all know I love any excuse to take photos, right? Especially of my chunky monkey! Snow fell yesterday for the first time in nearly two years, so it was the perfect time to dust off my camera and let Bryson experience his first snow!
Last winter, two ice storms came close to hitting us, but no snow fell. Bryson didn't quite know what to think of it, but he had fun stomping around in it! It was super cold, so we didn't stay out long.
Waaaaaay back in June (yes, almost seven months ago), our little Bryson took his first vacation! It wasn't so much a vacation for me, but we all had a great time!
It's so hard to believe our Bryson is almost 1 year old! It seems like just yesterday we were making last-minute plans for his arrival. Time flies when you're having fun, and are we ever!
Another holiday is right around the corner, and that means another reason for PICTURES! Woo hoo!
Bryson is growing so fast – 23.6 pounds at 8 months old – and I love, love, love photographing his precious little face! The only problem is he is not so much a fan. He will laugh and grin until he sees you pull out the camera. Then, it's nothing but a straight face...all while we stand behind the camera jumping around like imbeciles and making wacky noises, LOL.
Cousin Mason wasn't feeling well when I had the backdrop set up, but we did get some good outdoor shots of him (toward the bottom). He is so much fun and has WAY better things to do than sit still long enough for a picture, haha! He is on the move and it's getting hard to keep up! We can already tell the differences in Mason's and Bryson's personalities...Bryson's going to have to work hard to keep up with him once he is on the move!
Here are all the photos I was able to get. Enjoy!
Well, another month has gone by, and our Bryson is growing quickly! He's up to 16.4 pounds and almost 26 inches long (which is around the 95th percentile in each category). He is a pro at holding up his head, LOVES to smile and giggle, and he has found the screeching part of his voice, haha. Thankfully, he doesn't use it very often and is — 99% of the time — a perfect little angel, hehe. :)
Since I've been back to work, I haven't had as much time to snap pictures of him, but below are a few I was able to get when he turned 3 months old on Sept. 3.
Another month has passed, and our Bryson is now 2 months old!
He is now smiling and beginning to interact with us, and he LOVES to be outside (particularly on our back patio). He and I eat breakfast out there every morning – before it gets too hot or humid – and he so enjoys it. :)
Read on for more photos I took of our sweet boy!
I can't believe one month has passed since Bryson was born! He is such a blessing and we wouldn't trade him for the world. :)
Here are some photos I took of him on his one month birthday back on July 3:

Happy Independence Day from these cutie pies!
They are the cutest little boys I have EVER seen.
I had some fun with my trusty DSLR and prime lens this afternoon and decided to get some pictures of Bryson and Mason's first July Fourth! Of course, they had to have matching outfits. :) We tried to get them to take a photo together, but they decided it was not going to happen tonight...maybe another time. Anywho, scroll down for some more precious photos of our cuddly Bryson and our sweet nephew, Mason!

You guys...you have to see these photos of our sweet little Bryson!
Terri Myers with Terri Took It Photography did an awesome job with our little man when he was just 10 days old! We are IN LOVE with him (of course) and these wonderful pictures. Thank you so much, Terri, for capturing our greatest accomplishment!

He's here!
Our little bundle of Bryson arrived Wednesday, June 3 at 12:19 p.m. and we could not be happier! He's a healthy, strong little boy who weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces. He was 20 inches long.
Below are some photos of Bryson's first few days in this big ol' world, including meeting his family, his first outing, his first bath, and basically just being cute! :)
Enjoy!
Tomorrow, we start a new chapter: Parenthood.
Five short years ago – when we got married – we each expressed we could never see ourselves as parents. We were in our early 20s and wanted to do things on our own time without having to worry about hauling a kid around. We didn't want anything to get in the way of the fun we were (and still are!) having. Oh, how far we've come.
